"Vorremo fare un fiume per sostare presso la sua riva e guardarlo fluire. Ma l’eterno che è in noi sa che la vita è senza tempo, che non è altro che un susseguirsi di istanti, preziosi, alcuni dei quali si isola dal resto del tempo”. E’ alla base di questa metafora che Mauro de Candia realizza un duo “transitorio” senza storia e senza concetto di fondo. Due corpi, il loro incontro alla ricerca di orizzonti nuovi, di metafore e sfumature impercettibili. La bellezza delle loro anime che, come luce misteriosa, risplende sulla bellezza dei loro corpi. Un duo morbido, fluido: una ricerca indefinita verso emozioni senza tempo e senza confini.

"We would like to make a river of time, to stop by its shore and watch it flow. But the eternal part of us knows that life is timeless, that it is only a series of precious moments following each other; each of them isolated from the rest of time”. It’s starting from this metaphor that Mauro de Candia makes a “temporary” duet without a story and without a basic concept. Two bodies, meeting to search for new horizons and imperceptible metaphors and nuances. The beauty of their soul that, like a mysterious light, shines on the beauty of their bodies. A smooth and fluent duet; an indefinite quest for timeless and borderless emotions.

(...) Tra questi, c'era un'interpretazione danzata sul tema e una variazione delle Goldberg Variazioni di Bach coreografata dal membro della compagnia di Hannover, Mauro de Candia. Piacevole da guardare, dovuto al fattodella relazione tra il movimento e la musia.

de Candia ha già stabilito una carriera di coreografo di successo e lo mostra con questo affascinante duetto (...) I danzatori cominciano nel loro cerchio di luce, eseguendo sorprendenti movimenti e pose. Con l'evolvere del lavoro, essi si incontrano per ritornare ad esseresoli; la creografia ruota chiaramente intorno alla tradizione accademica ma con dei notevoli movimenti di danza contemporanea. (...) "Auf Suche, che in tedesco significa "alla ricerca", è stato creato dopo un momento di vita intenso. (...) Il lavoro mostra chiaramente questo stato, situazioni che appaiono, situazioni che avvengono naturalmente; niente è forzato.

Auf Suche, danced to music by Johan Sebastian Bach is a couple of years old having been premiered in Monte-Carlo in 2003.de Candia has already established a successful choreographic career and its shows in this quite bewitching work. In their almost identical simple costumes Alexandra Milne (Canada) and de Candia himself begin in their own circles of ligth, making really striking movement and poses. As the world develops they come together and apart, the coreography clearly rooted in the classical ballet tradition but with a considerable contemporary element.
